This is sure to be a unique night as we celebrate the music of Radiohead. Called The Radiohead Jazz Project, the performance will be a double-bill: we’ll play two sets of Radiohead tunes arranged for big band, then local Radiohead tribute band Idioteque – featuring some of the top young jazz musicians in the city – will take to the stage. It should be a blast! For complete information read the press release or see the poster.
Outstanding vocalist Sophia Perlman joins the Toronto Jazz Orchestra for three sets of great music, ranging from favourite classics to songs without words. Sophia sings, the band swings! See the poster.
Three sets of great big band music with compositions and arrangements by Thad Jones, Jim McNeely, Bill Holman and Darcy James Argue, as well local composers such as Allison Au, Mike Downes and Josh Grossman. See the poster.
We were invited to perform at Ontario Contact, this year held at the Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts in Parry Sound. On Friday night, October 28, we had 18 minutes to show off what we can do for arts presenters, agents and performers from across the province. See Contact's website for more information.
